Try EZ Play first
Turn the QChord on, press EZ Play, choose a chord and strum. This gives you a friendly starter setup with chord hold and manual chord control switched on.
Use Start/Stop for clean endings
The QChord uses Start/Stop rather than the older Instant Off touch pad. Use it to stop the automatic rhythm section without losing your selected setup.
Play without automatic rhythm
For quieter pad-and-strum playing, use EZ Play for soft chord pads, then silence the chord sound when you want the strumplate voice on its own.
Explore the extra voices
The QChord has a much wider strumplate voice list than many players realise. The video below shows the route into those sounds.
Show the button sequence
- Turn on your QChord.
- Press and hold the Rhythm Down volume until the LED reaches minimum.
- In the Chord Mode section, press the Chord Plus button three times, until all the LEDs are off.
- Press the Melody Keyboard button once. All the LEDs should be off here too.
- You can now play silent chords and just use the strumplate.
- To access the voice library, press the Melody Keyboard button once.
- Press the F sharp chord button and watch the display. It will show 00 for a moment.
- Press the Melody Keyboard again twice, so all the LEDs are off.
- Choose one of the 100 sounds using the Strumplate Voices up and down buttons.
